UT Collections donates GHS 10, 000 to Children's Hospital

The project which comprises an emergency room, two theatres, doctor’s rest room and other ancillary rooms started in May this year and has already had donations from a number of organizations for this cause. Prince Kofi Amoabeng, CEO of UT Bank, presenting the cheque said UT Bank is committed to improving the life of the underpriviledged in society and hoped the donation will help in making life better for the children who are brought to the hospital.

He also appealed to his colleagues in the corporate world to also contribute in like manner to support the government in its bid to achieve the UN millennium development goal of reducing infant mortality.

Father Andrew Campbell, a patron of the Hospital who received the chequesaid the facility which is 84 years old is the only children’s hospital in the country and caters forover 300 children daily at its outpatient department.

He made a passionate appeal to corporate institutions and individuals to support their bid to provide a better health facility which he hoped would be completed by December this year.
